Key Points

The game jam was organised online on an itch.io page.

The core gameplay is structured around an intentional feedback loop where the player receives one vague hint about the target, takes a shot, and then receives the next hint based on whether they were correct. Each wrong attempt contributes to progression through iterative clue refinement.

The player operates from a stationary vantage point, requiring them to observe NPCs, interpret clues, and act without entering the environment directly.

Civilians in the market react dynamically to gunshots using a custom AI system. Their behavior simulates panic: they flee, hide, or scatter when shots are fired, creating a reactive environment that evolves based on player actions.

Custom voice lines were recorded to portray the client’s escalating frustration after each incorrect hit. These lines serve both as narrative devices and as indirect feedback mechanisms that push the story forward.

The design encourages players to take educated guesses and learn from mistakes. Unlike traditional mission structures, failure is expected and built into the loop to facilitate progression.

Developed in Unity using C# and NavMesh AI, the game is enriched with custom-recorded voice lines, visual flourishes (e.g., slow-motion zoom on wrong shots), and layered ambient sound for tension.

Developed by a team of 6, a dedicated artist, producer, and audio designer, and three programmers.

More details on the components and working can be provided upon request.
